The society of peritoneal surface oncology of India was founded by a group of Indian surgical and medical oncologists specializing in peritoneal surface oncology to promote and develop peritoneal surface oncology as a speciality in India.
Our Goals
This society aims to disseminate correct information and knowledge about peritoneal surface oncology, which is still in a very primitive stage in India, through various projects including a focused annual meeting
Multi-centric prospective studies are conducted by the society under the aegis of the Indian Network for DEvelopment of Peritoneal Surface Oncology (INDEPSO) .
The Indian HIPEC registry (www.indianhipecregistry.com) is linked to the society for archiving data. The registry can be used by public and private institutions both and functions through a web-based application
The society aims promote the overall growth of peritoneal surface oncology, improving the knowledge, experience and understanding not just of surgeons but also of medical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and nursing specialists who play an important role in the management of patients with peritoneal metastases.
